The Polypipe SG30 is an 82mm (3-inch) PVCu strap boss used to connect a waste pipe to an existing soil pipe, specifically via a back fix nut and bolt mechanism. 
Key Features and Specifications
  • Function: This fitting allows for a new waste pipe connection to be introduced into an existing 82mm soil pipe system without needing to cut the main soil pipe completely. A 54mm hole is cut into the soil pipe to accommodate the boss.
  • Material: It is manufactured from strong, lightweight PVCu (Polyvinyl Chloride - Unplasticised), which provides durability against harsh external weather conditions.
  • Fixing Method: The "back fix" design is securely fastened using a supplied nut and bolt system, clamping the boss onto the pipe.
  • System Compatibility: It is part of the comprehensive Polypipe Soil & Vent range, designed for residential applications. Note that it requires an adaptor (sold separately) to complete the connection.
  • Certification: The product is certified to British Standards BS4514 and EN1329.
  • Colour Options: The SG30 is available in both grey (SG30G) and black (SG30B) finishes.
