This task involves plumbing work on your main water supply and should ideally be performed by a qualified professional to ensure compliance with water regulations and prevent water damage.

Pre-Installation Guidelines

Professional Installation: Due to the risk of water damage and the need to comply with local regulations (like EN 806-5 inspection and service requirements), it is highly recommended to use a certified installer.

Location: The PRV is typically installed on the main water line where it enters the building, usually after the water meter and a shut-off valve. The location should be protected against frost and easily accessible for maintenance.

Filter Requirement: To guarantee perfect function and protect the internal components, a filtering unit (strainer) must be installed ahead of the pressure reducing valve.

Flow Direction: The valve body has a flow direction arrow cast onto it. It must be installed with the water flow in the direction of the arrow.
