FC0244 Clay to Cast/Plastic Flexible Connector - 4" x 4" is a specific type of transition coupling designed to connect different pipe materials and sizes within non-pressure drain, waste, and vent (DWV) systems. .

Size: 4 inches (nominal) on both ends. It is designed to accommodate the different outside diameters of 4" clay pipe and 4" cast iron or plastic (PVC, ABS) pipe.
Material: Made of tough, resilient elastomeric polyvinyl chloride (PVC) with corrosion-resistant 300 series stainless steel clamps.
Pipe Compatibility: Specifically designed to transition from 4" Clay pipe to 4" Cast Iron, PVC, Copper, or Plastic pipe.
Applications: Primarily used for sewer and drain applications, house-to-main connections, repairs, and cut-ins. It is rated for use both above and below ground.
Pressure Rating: Maximum test pressure of 4.3 PSI (29.6 KPA). Not intended for pressurized plumbing systems.
Temperature Range: Suitable for continuous temperatures from -30°F to 140°F (-30ºC to 60ºC).
Resistance: The coupling is leak-proof, root-proof, rot-proof, and resistant to chemicals, UV rays, fungus growth, and sewer gases.
Installation: Easy to install with a slotted screwdriver or 5/16" nut driver/socket; no special tools, primer, or glue are needed. The clamps should be tightened to 60 inch-lbs of torque.
Certifications: Conforms to industry standards such as ASTM C1173, ASTM D5926, and CSA B602, and is UPC approved.
